It Changed Everything

I want to tell you about the moment that things clicked for me.

I'd been running my business for years—

Building a solid reputation.
Getting great results with clients.
Making decent money.

But I was exhausted.

And resentful.

And secretly terrified
that if I stopped overdelivering,
people would realize I wasn't that special.

Then I had a somatic group training session
with a group of embodied somatic teachers
(I’m in consistent self reflection and self-inquiry)

She asked me:

"When you're working with a client who's struggling—
what happens in your body?"

I paused.

"My chest gets tight.
My jaw clenches.
I start thinking about everything I need to do to help them.
I feel responsible."

She nodded.

"And when a client cancels or doesn't show up?"

"I feel... pissed off… and….relieved.
But also worried they're going to leave.

So I usually reach out immediately to check in."

"Nima— Do you know what that is?"

I didn't.

"That's anxious attachment.
Your nervous system thinks their transformation
is proof of your worthiness.

When they struggle, you panic.
When they pull away, you pursue.
When they succeed, you finally exhale."

Fuck.

She was right.
I never thought of it this way.

I'd healed this pattern in my romantic relationships—

I could stay when my partner was struggling.
I could give space without panicking.
I could hold steady when emotions got intense.

But with clients—

I was still running on:
"Prove yourself or they'll leave."

And that was the shift
that changed the game for me.

Not immediately— (healing never works that way).

But it started me on a path of asking:

"What would it look like
to serve from overflow instead of fear?"

"How would I show up if I trusted
that my value wasn't tied to their results?"

"What if I could be present with clients
without abandoning myself?"

The shift wasn't about doing less work.

It was about practicing how I showed up
from a regulated nervous system
instead of a dysregulated one.

From that place—

I stopped saying yes to everyone.
I raised my prices (significantly).
I stopped checking email compulsively.
I created boundaries that felt good, not guilty.
I let clients have their own process without making it about me.

And something wild happened:

My business grew.
I could delegate and scale.
My impact deepened.
My clients got better results.
I stopped burning out.

Because I was finally leading from secure attachment—

Not anxious.
Not avoidant.
Just present.

If this resonates with you at all,
this is what I want to help you access in this webinar
hosted by my friend Tara:

Trigger-Proof: Healing Attachment Styles in Love AND Leadership

Tuesday, December 16th 4-5pm PST /
7-8pm EST /
11am-12pm AEDT (Wed Dec 17)

We're going to explore:

The exact body sensations that signal
you're in anxious or avoidant patterns

How to catch yourself before you abandon yourself (again)

The difference between boundaries from fear vs. boundaries from security
Why raising prices is actually a nervous system issue
How to serve from overflow instead of extraction
What secure leadership actually feels like in your body

This isn't theory alone.

This is the real,
embodied work of shifting your nervous system
so you can show up differently—

In your business.
With your clients.
In your relationships.
In your life.

Because life is relational.

Investment: only $25

Live Q&A format.
Intimate container.
Hosted by my friend Tara.
Maximum 40 people.

We're already at 23 registered—

P.S.

Tomorrow I'm sending the final email with the truth about why most business coaching completely misses this.

Then registration closes.

P.P.S.

If you're reading this thinking—

"I don't have time for another webinar"
"I should already know this"
"I can figure this out myself"

I’ll just ask chat gpt.

Notice that voice.

That's the pattern talking.
You gotta show up and engage with the pattern
in order to break it.
